These are the SMS notification terms for the Kids Money text program and the record of the consent a parent gives before any message is sent. The program is operated by Eastwood Holdings, Inc.
Kids Money, operated by Eastwood Holdings, Inc., sends text notifications to parent account holders about activity in their family account, including items awaiting review or approval.
Only the parent account holder may enroll, and only their own mobile number. Consent is given in the parent console under notification settings and may be withdrawn there at any time.
Message frequency varies based on account activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or email brad@mcdermith.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
This is the exact wording shown beside the opt-in checkbox in the parent console. Ticking that box is what records consent, and this sentence is stored word for word with the record, so what was agreed to can be checked later:
I agree to receive text messages from Kids Money when my child submits a chore sheet. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.
A parent signs in to the parent console and opens “Who gets notified”, which is linked from the console navigation and from the “Chores to review” page. There they enter their own mobile number and tick the consent box above.
The box is never pre-ticked. If it is not ticked, the number is not added — the server refuses the submission rather than relying on the browser to enforce it.
Consent can be withdrawn from the same page at any time, or by replying STOP to any message. Withdrawing is recorded as its own entry; the original consent record is never overwritten.
Only a signed-in parent of that family can add a mobile number, and only from inside the parent console. No mobile number is collected when a family signs up, none is ever requested from a child, and nobody outside the family can add one.
A number is used only to notify that same family’s own parents. It is never shared, sold, rented or traded, and no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.
