Kids Money is operated by Eastwood Holdings, Inc. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
For each family: a family name, the first name or nickname of each child, the chores a parent sets up, which chores a child marks complete, and the spending, savings, investment and giving amounts a parent records. If a profile photo is added for a child — by a parent, or by the child on their own page — we store that photo.
For parents: an email address, and — only if a parent chooses text notifications — a mobile number.
We also store each child's PIN in hashed form, a private access link for each child, and technical records: the IP address and browser information recorded when a parent accepts our terms, the IP address recorded when a PIN is entered, and a log of administrator actions taken on an account.
To show each child their own chores and balances, to notify their own parents when a chore sheet is submitted, to let parents review and approve it, and to keep accounts secure. That is all.
Each child's page is protected by a PIN. Each child also has a private link that opens their page without a PIN, so it can be bookmarked on a family device.
Anyone who has that link can view that child’s page — treat it like a password, and do not post or forward it.
If a link is shared by mistake, a parent can replace it from the parent console. The old link stops working immediately and the new one is shown there. Replacing a link cannot undo anything already seen, and it does not affect the child’s PIN, balances or chore history.
Our administrators can access family data to operate and support the service, and that access is logged.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. We do not sell, rent, or trade phone numbers. A phone number is used only to notify that same family’s own parents, and only after that parent has explicitly opted in.
We do not sell or rent any personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
A child's information is entered by their own family and is used only to operate that family's account. We do not ask a child for an email address or a phone number, and we do not use a child's information for advertising or share it for marketing.
We use third-party services to operate the app — hosting, email delivery, and, once enabled, text-message delivery. They process data only to deliver those services on our behalf.
A parent can export their family's data or delete their family from the parent console. Deleting stops the family working immediately — the console, every child page and every private link stop answering. The records are then permanently destroyed 30 days later, and during that window the deletion can be reversed by contacting us.
Two things are kept afterwards, and our Terms and Data Notice says the same: the record that a parent accepted the terms, which contains their email address, IP address, the date and the version accepted; and the administrator-access log, which contains the family name and web address. Everything else is destroyed.
A parent can remove a text recipient or withdraw consent at any time from the parent console, or reply STOP to any message.
